We want to make sure that we are protecting and preserving the places we love to play for future generations. And, we are asking our guests to join us in this effort through guest donation programs. From Tahoe to Colorado to Wyoming and Jamaica.
National Forest Foundation
Since 2006, Vail Resorts has partnered with the National Forest Foundation’s (NFF) Ski Conservation Fund to raise money for on-the-ground conservation efforts such as trail restoration and reforestation.
Through a voluntary guest donation program, our guests are invited to contribute $1 on a variety of resort activities and amenities, to which the National Forest Foundation matches $.50 cents for every guest dollar donated.
Tahoe Fund
Heavenly Mountain Resort, Kirkwood Resort and Northstar Resort have partnered with The Tahoe Fund, a organization committed to supporting important recreation, conservation and education projects in the Lake Tahoe basin. Through a voluntary $1 guest donation, we can help the Tahoe Fund with bike trails, public parks, restoration projects, interpretive programs, and other amenities that people use and enjoy at the Lake. Grand Teton National Park Foundation
As the concessionaire for Jackson Lake Lodge, Jenny Lake Lodge, Colter Bay and Flagg Mountain Ranch, Vail Resorts partners with Grand Teton National Park Foundation on projects that enhance Grand Teton National Park’s cultural, historic, and natural resources and to help others learn about and protect all that is special in the park. By funding initiatives that go beyond what the National Park Service could accomplish on its own, the Foundation initiates improvements, critical research, and projects that help better connect visitors to the park, creating a stable future for Grand Teton and the experiences of those who visit. Grand Teton National Park Foundation is widely recognized as one of the strongest and most successful friends groups to partner with the National Park Service. To date, the Foundation has raised nearly $30 million for projects in the park.
Mountain Trails Foundation
Mountain Trails Foundation was established in 1992 at a time when Park City had only a few hand-cut trails all of which were on private lands. Now in its 20th year, it has been helping to advocate for non-motorized trails and the healthy lifestyle they promote, with nearly 400 miles of trail currently online in the Park City area and more to come in the future. The foundation works with local and private groups to expand the areas trail system — a network that remains the only trail system in the country to be named a Gold Ride Center by the International Mountain Bicycling Association. The Mountain Trails Foundation derives most of its income from its race series and donations.
